The Jof Fuart range is the signature panorama that crowns the Saisera Valley to the south of Valbruna. A mountain loved by Julius Kugy for its solar appearance that resembles “… a shiny throne in the kingdom of light and joy….”. Mt. Jof Fuart, towering over Valbruna at 2,666 m (8,746 ft), was first ascended in 1850 and many routes of different difficulty now lead to the summit. “For all the mountains I have seen, nothing equals the Julian Alps.” – Julius Kugy.
